Provide or assist with basic care or support under the direction of onsite medical staff. Monitor health status of patients with disabilities or illness and elderly patients. Address their health-related needs such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting or ambulation. Perform routine tasks under the supervision of registered nurses. Take patient's temperate, pulse and respiration rate. Take blood pressure and determine if range is abnormal. Observe and record physical, mental and emotional condition of patient; observe fluid intake and output; report abnormal changes or patterns of patients to medical staff; set up equipment; store and move supplies; follow proper procedures for moving patients.
