Saint Peter's University Lecturer, Data Science Programs in Jersey City, New Jersey

Teach courses under the university’s data science program. Provide overall leadership and vision for the university’s Data Science program development, managing distance learning initiatives, course scheduling, maintaining accreditation, long-range planning, business partnership development, and student recruiting and retention. Conduct ongoing program reviews of student lifecycle services and tracking, assess, and report on student programs and the program’s outcomes. Plan and create lectures for both online and in-class discussions and assignments. Advise students across the program and monitor Adjunct Professors across the program. Collaborate with technology companies to get the current technologies in the industries like Power BI, Azure Machine Learning and have a similar way of opportunity to learn from the program for all the students. Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards. Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem and project-based learning demonstrations. Perform related duties, such as advising students on academic and vocational curriculum, and actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning. Confer with members of educational committees and advisory groups to obtain knowledge of subject teaching areas and to relate curriculum materials to specific subjects and individual student needs and areas. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and advisory groups focused on the further development of the University’s Data Science programs. Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work and acknowledging student accomplishments. Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their academic program. Develop internal and external advisory relationships with area employers and other departments within the University. Must have a Master’s degree in Data Science. Must have three (3) years of professional work experience in Data Science and Machine Learning to demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database applications; and Blackboard and Ellucian Colleague systems is required. Must possess ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others; to present information clearly and concisely, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Telecommuting permitted. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.Salary Range - $60,300.00 to 65,000.00 per year.
