A company in the Automotive industry has a great opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant that is looking to take their career to the next level along a growing company. The ideal candidate would be ambitious and a self-starter. Do you enjoy handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks while providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures? A company with a stellar work environment wants a highly-skilled and ambitious candidate to join their team. This short-term temporary-to-full-time HR Assistant position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Jersey City, New Jersey area.

Major responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative duties

  • Research the internet to locate potential customers

  • Take part in new employee on-boarding orientation planning

  • Maintain employee database records

Requirements

  • Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Data entry experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites

  • Proficiency in Document Scanning

  • Command of Fax Documents

  • Solid understanding of filing

  • Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
