We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis candidate for our Insurance industry team based in Jersey City or downtown NYC. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of functions, including working on improving balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, and preparing comprehensive reports. The role also involves covering a wide range of businesses and segments within the company, making it a crucial position in our organization. This role can sit hybrid in either Jersey City or NYC locations.

Responsibilities:

• Use industry experience, particularly in Property & Casualty (P& C), to manage various business segments

• Handle data intake effectively and efficiently, ensuring all information is accurately recorded and processed

• Prepare detailed reports for various business segments, utilizing strong data skills

• Use advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze data

• Work on improving balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management, ensuring financial stability for the company

• Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights

• Leverage an accounting background to manage financial planning and analysis tasks

• Develop and implement budget processes, coordinating with other departments as necessary

• Handle capital management responsibilities, ensuring the efficient use of resources

• Communicate effectively with C-Suite and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on financial performance and projections.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL is a plus

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions and Accounting Functions

• Experience in Budget Processes

• Ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite and Finance teams.

Requirements

•Bachelor's in accounting or finance

• Familiarity with ERP solutions and their applications in the insurance industry.

• Ability to oversee and manage accounting functions.

• Experience in budget processes

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with C-Suite level executives.

• Strong background in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically P& C

• Ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring optimal performance and meeting of set objectives.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field preferred.

• Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
