The Director of Container Maintenance will lead and drive all welding, fabrication and logistics of our container and compactor repair operations. This position will develop and execute strategies that support and maximize container and compactor assets, including scheduled repairs, refurbish and salvage of containers, short- and long-term maintenance planning, vendor management, compactor mechanical safety, personnel productivity, environmental management, and financial performance.

Communicating with Operations Leadership, prioritize and direct work to meet internal and external customer needs
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment areas. Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example
Align with Operations Management and Financial Management on an annual financial plan and tactical/strategic initiatives for 5-yr capital replacements
Coordinate, schedule, and audit maintenance repairs to include preventative, refurbish, replacement, mechanical and electrical repairs to containers, compactors, boxes and other equipment needed to support operation.
Develop and manage a comprehensive asset utilization plan for maximum asset availability
Lead process improvement initiatives and direct management of Container management processes
Ensure policies, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruptions
Implement new technologies and drive overall performance to maximize on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, reduce costs and compress delivery time of needed containers and equipment.
Responsible for and manage all regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)
Build and sustain strong business relationships with Operations, Health & Safety, Finance and other relevant internal and external stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing / repair industry with at least 5 years of experience managing teams
Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting
Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Excellent ability to communicate and lead individuals/teams
