Jefferies LLC Assistant Vice President, Data Integration Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey

Responsible for developing and managing SSIS packages, creating reports, writing complex report queries, and configuring Power BI dashboards from this data. Create SQL stored procedures in order to load and manipulate data into production table structures. Develop complex SSIS packages from different data sources like Oracle, MYSQL, Excel, CSV, and XML. Provide management with status reports of ETL projects. Work with internal and external clients to understand business requirements and ensure the required business functionality of each data element is met. Perform T-SQL data profiling, analysis, and mapping to ensure data quality and reliability. Interpret and analyze multi-dimensional financial and information security data to accurately assess and demonstrate key insights into key trends and opportunities. Handle new implementation, changes to existing layouts/data load code, automation development, performance optimization and database maintenance. Test mapping and code to ensure data is loaded appropriately. Support defect triaging, fixes, and testing. Ensure data loads are completed and quality checks are performed.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a Business Intelligence Analyst role.*All of the required experience must have included experience with: Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading between Homogenous and Heterogeneous Systems; creating indexed views, complex stored procedures, effective functions, and triggers to facilitate efficient data manipulation and maintain data consistency; creating scheduling Jobs, Alerts, and SQL Mail Agent using SQL Agent, Autosys and windows task scheduler; generating On-demand and Scheduled reports for Business Analysis or Management decisions using MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI, and Splunk; providing production support to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data; designing, developing, and optimizing large, complex DB schemas, SQL scripts and objects to meet application functionality and performance requirements; using SQL profiler, SQL Query Analyzer, Index Tuning Wizard, Batch Processing, Database Engine Tuning Wizard, and Windows Performance; database development methodologies including Source Control, Continual Improvement, Release Management, Agile and Scrum; ServiceNow, JIRA, bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins; Package development using C# and .Net; using PowerShell, .net scripting and FTP to pull data from various sources; Change Data Capture (CDC) and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE); and implementing SSIS Logging, Error Configurations and Send Mail Task for error handling of the packages.This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Jersey City, NJ office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
