ASM Global Operation Manager in Jekyll Island, Georgia

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of operations including event preparation and services, housekeeping, public safety, engineering, ADA, fire & life safety and OSHA compliance.

  • Works with General Manager in the development and implementation of operational/departmental procedures.

  • Maintain & facilitate all aspects of the ALTUM system and work order flow.

  • Provide daily building inspections to ensure work is performed accurately and oversea quality control.

  • Administers preventive maintenance and work order programs.

  • Schedule, lead and advise housekeeping staff, security and maintenance team members.

  • Monitor, lead and advise third party contracted company, as needed.

  • Meet with appropriate staff to outline work that must be done for the day/week.

  • Approve all payroll hours worked for operational departments on a timely basis.

  • Prepare work schedules and assures adequate coverage for department and specific events.

  • Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints.

  • Ensures that all operations equipment is maintained correctly.

  • Has knowledge of sense of timing as to what activities should be taking place within a time frame to accomplish necessary tasks to ensure a successful event.

  • Implement and train all employees on the operating procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, emergency plans, and safety/risk management policies that conform to the ASM Global standards and best practices.

  • Maintain equipment and supply inventory.

  • Responsible for the Master MSDS log in the building

  • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Valid GA Driver’s License

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering

  • Minimum of 2 years experience supervising or managing

  • Two to Three years related experience

    Skills and Abilities

  • Be familiar with operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event related services and technical requirements anticipated for the facility.

  • Follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures.

  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.

  • Meet the physical demands of the job. Must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing.

  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.

  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

  • Proficient within computer skills and MS Office

  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

  • Ability to work irregular/extended hours, including night, weekend and holiday duties as required. Must be available for after-hour emergency calls.
