AM Ford Automotive Controller in Jefferson, Ohio

Job Summary: AM Ford: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and regulatory reporting.

Duties: - Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations - Oversee accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments - Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting - Collaborate with other departments to develop financial plans and strategies to support business objectives - Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and reporting requirements - Provide guidance on corporate accounting policies and procedures - Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP) - Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation, forecasting, and regulatory reporting - Experience with double entry bookkeeping and accounts payable processes - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications
