SCHEDULE:12/HR Shifts 2-2-3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days)
HOURS:, 7p to 7:30a.
American Plastics LLC, a leading manufacturer and distributor of plastic commercial and consumer products, is seeking a positive, outgoing and energetic Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jefferson City, MO. This position will work a 12/HR shift on a 2-2-3 schedule! This means that every other weekend is a 3 day weekend and working less days per month!!! The plant is situated in a great area as it is a close drive from Lake of the Ozarks, Columbia, MO or Gasconade County.
Description:
Electrical: Know how to troubleshoot and read electrical prints.
Hydraulics: know how to troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
Pneumatics: Know how to troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
Know injection-molding machine general maintenance, troubleshooting, debug and repair as needed.
Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required on all Injection and related equipment.
Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any downtime that can be avoided with proper preventative, predictive or continuous improvement ideas.
Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement a permanent solution.
Maintain Plant Facility and associated equipment.
Perform daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventive maintenance schedule.
Fork truck license, Man lift certificate, and crane operation required, will train to our specifics (not required, but a plus).
Owns and maintains the required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Requirements
Prior Maintenance Technician experience required (injection molding experience a plus)
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Knowledge of basic math skills
Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making ability.
Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to communicate on all levels.
Must have a valid drivers license, fork lift experience or willing to learn.
Has basic ability in the following skills: welding; brazing; soldering, or silver brazing; refrigeration repair; machine shop training; fabrication in plastic; electronic repair; and/or mechanical engine repair, transmission repair, robotics.
