Parsons Corporation Lead Engineer - Electrical (Dry Utilities) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer-Electrical to join our dynamic team and play a key role in the successful execution of a major infrastructure construction project. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Electrical engineering principles and practices, with a proven track record of delivering results on complex projects in the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure construction projects, such as utility
buildings, transportation networks, utilities, and industrial facilities.
Manage a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Perform load calculations, electrical system modeling, and equipment selection to optimize system performance, efficiency, and constructability.
Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers to integrate electrical components into the overall infrastructure design and construction plan.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify and resolve electrical design and installation issues.
Develop and implement comprehensive quality control and safety programs for electrical work on construction sites.
Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance throughout the construction process.
Provide technical expertise and support to project managers, general contractors, and facility operators.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for the electrical scope of work.
Mentor and train junior electrical engineers to develop their skills and expertise in infrastructure construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license
18 + years of experience as an electrical engineer, with at least 7 years in a lead or supervisory role on infrastructure construction projects
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
Proficient in using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit) and construction management tools
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Thorough understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to construction projects
Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, and construction managers
