JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Manager, or Director depending on experience, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Quality organization, which supports both Operations (Product Quality) and Materials (Supplier Quality). This role involves leading a diverse team of hourly and salaried team members to ensure the highest standards of quality are met across the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide leadership and direction to all levels of the Quality organization 2. Maintain and ensure a healthy Quality Management System, lead management reviews and internal and external audit processes 3. Participate in executive staff activities and champion Quality initiatives 4. Develop and manage organizational policies, department guidelines, inspection plans, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets 5. Lead implementation of site-wide projects and processes to drive overall quality and continuous improvement 6. Represent the company and interface with Customer Program IPTs and on-site Quality Assurance Representatives 7. Oversee quality improvement processes, including tracking and reducing escapes and Cost of Poor Quality, and managing internal and Customer Corrective Action Request systems 8. Oversee quality processes for collection, tracking, and analyzing quality data from multiple sources 9. Manage supplier quality performance including selection, evaluation, and auditing, and driving supplier quality improvement initiatives 10. Directly oversee the management of Supplier Quality, Receiving Inspection, Quality Engineering, In-Process Inspection, Reject Verification, and Quality Technician teams SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives) approval. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: PREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years\' minimum experience in direct report supervision Extensive knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Systems Working knowledge of Department of Defense military standards and processes as related to Quality (MIL-STD-1916, Critical Defects, MIL-STD-1168, SPC, etc.) Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) and a variety of related inspection and gaging methods DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in military ammunition, explosives, or weapons manufacturing Experience in APQP or other Supplier Quality methodologies CQE certification ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: HR@amteccorp.net Other: AMTEC Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
