VACANCIES: At present three (3) vacancies exist in the City of Jamestowns Board of Public Utilities. DUTIES: A Customer Service Field Representative involves the connection and disconnection of water and electric services, the manual and electronic reading of utility meters, taking of service orders and payments, location of utility infrastructure, dealing with customer complaints and other related work. This work is performed largely away from the utility buildings and under minimal supervision. An incumbent in this position may also work in the office as needed performing basic customer service work. This work varies from manual meter reading tasks to dealing with complex utility service, troubleshooting and customer service work. Does related work as required. MUNICIPAL CANDIDATES PLEASE NOTE: Participation in this examination will only afford promotional eligibility within your current agency as long as you have obtained the required number of years of Permanent Competitive Class status in the required title within the current agency.
