Lutheran Billing Coordinator in Jamestown, New York
Lutheran Social Services is seeking a Full Time Billing Coordinator with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service!
Purpose: This position will support the billing functions of Lutheran and the related entities. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, billing for the Hultquist Place Assisted Living Program (ALP), Resident Trust Coordination, maintaining daily census information pertinent for the ALP billing requirements, billing ALP claims on a monthly basis for Medicaid, Managed Long Term Care plans, as well as Private Pay accounts.
Qualifications: Associates degree and minimum of 2 years progressive medical billing experience preferred.
Physical Setting: In Office
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Salary: $20.00 to $27.68, commensurate with experience
Essential Duties:
Monitor and maintain up to date ALP census information in the PointClickCare (PCC) billing system and corresponding excel spreadsheet(s)
Monthly billing procedures for Private Pay, Medicaid, and Medicaid Pending Residents
Assisting residents and families with financial issues: income eligible for Medicaid benefits, applying for additional income including SSI/VA benefits as well as helping with direct deposit forms.
Monitor A/R aging logs and performs necessary rebilling, collections and reconciliation functions.
Entering daily deposits for room & board, as well as Medicaid checks received for client accounts into the PointClickCare (PCC) billing system
Assisting residents and families with Medicaid applications; includes getting signed consents, document requests/collection, follow up with CCDSS case worker for additional follow up and annual recertification's
Producing end of the month reports for closing
Maintain and balance RTA petty cash funds daily, as backup
Post RTA disbursements/deposits on a daily basis into the PointClickCare (PCC) software to ensure balances are accurate and up to date as backup
Continual communication with the Hultquist Place Administrator and Case Workers regarding the status of new applicants and/or recertification of existing clients
Remain up-to-date with billing rules/regulations and changes
Identify and suggest procedural improvements or opportunities for revenue enhancements
