This role will be primarily responsible for driving successful procurement strategy implementation including Direct & Indirect material & service purchasing for Indonesia and Thailand.

  • Working closely with internal stakeholder from sales & marketing, MSC (CS&L and Manufacturing), R&D and others corporate function (Finance, Legal, HR, IS/IT) to understand the business needs and priorities. You will also work closely with regional spend area team to ensure the right sourcing strategy developed to meet the business needs in these 2 countries.

  • Responsible to deliver exceptional services, value and high quality of work to the business stakeholders, ensure procurement strategies are in place and drive end to end supply chain agenda to deliver business goals.

  • Lead the local procurement team in Indonesia and Thailand for the end to end local sourcing process and work together with procurement spend area through strong management skills that encompass change management to handle adversarial situations, build strong partnerships internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers in order to achieve commitment of business deliverables.

  • Responsible to identify the opportunity and mitigate the risk of material supply to ensure supply continuity for the plants (Cikarang, Bandung, KK and LKB plants) to support growth agenda in SEA BU.

  • Work closely with procurement peers to design, deploy and maintain best in class procurement operation processes and standards/tools, bring in leading practices & processes to the function and have effective execution and governance framework to enhance the maturity of the process in the function, and continuously improve the functional effectiveness.

  • Participate in the procurement strategies development by providing supplier’s performance feedback to the sourcing team for on time in full and supplier quality performance. Provide local input to be included during the supplier relationship management discussion together with procurement spend area.

  • This role involves sufficient knowledge of full procurement operations from source to pay, understanding the business interaction with various stakeholders, total supply chain and overall business challenges, and then translate them into solutions which enable procurement to support the business needs and create competitive advantage, and continuously monitoring procurement effectiveness and performance and identify the gaps and build continuous improvement plan and road maps.

  • This role will own the new product development execution for all categories, productivity implementation for RPM and supply chain optimization to drive DIOH agenda for RPM. These includes both Indonesia and Thailand with $375Mn/year spend, total 1114 suppliers direct and indirect.

  • Need to seek alignment with various procurement peers, as well as the business stakeholders through engagement across functions, collaboration, influences for rapid decision making, conflicts resolution etc. He or she need to hold the capabilities to drive the change, problem solving and best in class functional collaboration.

  • This role will require both in-depth functional knowledge as well as strong communication and stakeholder relationship management skill in order to deliver the business results.

Educations and Experience Required

  • University degree qualification in Economy, Engineering, Operation, Supply chain or other relevant business management

Skills:

  • Excellence skill in leading and managing team in remote working environment and culture.

  • Advanced strategic (strategic sourcing, category management, SRM etc.) and operational procurement background & capabilities.

  • Advanced experience in procurement policies, processes and system integration initiatives, proven track record of effective procurement organizational change management.

  • Basic planning/execution excellence, Drive for results and excellence problem solving skills (Managing thru systems/project management, priority setting, planning, directing)

  • Proven stakeholder relationships and influencing (Comfort Around Higher Management, conflict management, managerial courage, organizational agility)

  • Good ability to work with minimum supervision and In-depth understanding of supply capability in Indonesia and Thailand

Experience:

  • Min. 2 Years’ experience in managing and leading the team.

  • Min. 5 Years relevant experience in procurement sourcing (both direct & indirect categories), and sound knowledge of procurement tools, automation, metrics, performance tracking and operations excellence etc.

  • Experience on operations and procurement process & system integration projects are preferred.
