Kuehne+Nagel National Project Logistics Manager in Jakarta, Indonesia

Your Role

National Project Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale logistics projects across Indonesia. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of project logistics, and optimizing processes to meet project goals. The manager will lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee logistics projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals.

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes.

  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders.

  • Provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

  • Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics projects.

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.

  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.

  • Monitor expenses and ensure projects are completed within budget.

  • Provide financial reports and updates to senior management.

  • Travel frequently on a monthly basis to various project sites and client locations across Indonesia.

  • Ensure on-site presence to oversee project execution and address any issues promptly.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Min of Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project logistics management, preferably in a national or regional role.

  • Strong project logistics operations experience is essential; commercial experience is an added advantage.

  • Previous experience working under a multinational corporation (MNC) is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
