dsm-firmenich Junior Account Manager for Taste,Texture & Health in Jakarta, Indonesia

The Junior Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing the account to grow sales and profitability according to objectives, by establishing dsm-firmenich as the clients’ key partner, winning projects, and selling profitably flavors. This function will be reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, Taste who is based in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define account objectives, develop commercial strategy, implement through account plan

  • Identify and document business potentials and competitive landscape

  • Develop successful working relationship with (new and existing) clients, establish dsm-f irmenich as key partner to obtain briefs for profitable business

  • Monitor client satisfaction and initiate correctiv e action where needed

  • Identify business opportunities, decision factors and success criteria and define action plan accordingly

  • Negotiate with clients favorable commercial terms, including payment terms, prices for new business and increases for existing items

  • Maximize business vitality

  • Get clear and complete briefing from clients, translate their needs into dsm-f irmenich projects; brief creation and development teams

  • Anticipate clients’ needs and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities

  • Define accurate pricing and margin parameters for each project, according to guidelines, and enter properly all project

    You bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Food Scienc e/Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology from an accredited university required

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of flavors or food ingredients sales experience.

  • Good business understanding of both dsm-firmenich and clients’ businesses, sales role and objectives

  • Ability to develop successfully client relationship and to position dsm-firmenich as a key business partner

  • Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize and implement action plans according to business opportunities and success factors

  • Sales and Negotiation skills

  • Extended product expertise (product, market, consumer, technical/technology) and passion for taste

  • Excellent communication and team building skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Skilled at working in a fast paced environment open to constant change in demands

  • Self-directed individual with a Can-Do attitude and the ability to work within a team

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP systems and analytical skills (MS Excel)
