Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. Commercial HVAC/R Lead Change-Out Technician (Installer) in Jacksonville, North Carolina

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC/R Lead Change-Out Technician to join our team in the Southeastern, NC area. As the Lead Change-Out Technician, you will play a crucial role in our commercial service division, taking the lead in executing commercial HVAC/R system replacements and upgrades with precision and efficiency.

The Lead Install Technician does NOT participate in the on-call rotation. Also, this position is not for new construction installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and oversee team members throughout commercial HVAC/R system replacements and upgrades.

  • Change Out Expertise: Possess expert knowledge in commercial HVAC/R systems and components. Execute the removal and installation of various HVAC/R equipment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize your advanced technical skills to troubleshoot HVAC/R issues that arise during the change out process and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth installations.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed and complete all necessary paperwork with company issued tablet.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to provide project updates, address any concerns or questions, and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, contributing to their professional growth and technical expertise.

    Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Relevant HVAC/R certifications or vocational training in HVAC/R systems are highly desirable.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician, specifically in change-out/system replacement projects. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems, controls, components, and must have proficiency in brazing and soldering.

  • Wiring Skills: Proficient in electrical wiring related to HVAC/R systems, including low-voltage controls, high-voltage connections, and wiring of components.

  • Certifications: Universal EPA Certification required.

  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions. Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing.

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and cooperate with colleagues to achieve project goals.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
