You can contribute your unique experiences and background to build a community that fosters mutual respect and meaningful relationships. * REPORTS TO:* Location Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* The General Operations Laborer (Seasonal) plays a vital role in supporting the agricultural operations within the agronomy department. This position involves performing a variety of manual and operational tasks to ensure the efficient production and management of crops. The ideal candidate is physically fit, capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions, and has a basic understanding of farming and agronomic practices. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* * Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of agricultural equipment and tools. * Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately. * Assist in troubleshooting and repairing minor equipment issues. * Perform manual labor tasks such as filling, lifting, carrying, digging, and assembling equipment as needed. * Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment. * Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. * Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety regulations at all times. * Responsible for safely and efficiently transferring anhydrous ammonia from storage tanks to applicators or nurse tanks using a riser system. * Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of small equipment, such as loaders, to assist with various tasks. * Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly. * Keep accurate records of tasks performed, including equipment maintenance logs and field operation reports. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* * Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* * Educations and Experience* * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous experience in farming, agriculture, or a similar labor-intensive role is beneficial. * Familiarity with operating farm machinery and equipment is an asset. * Involves performing basic equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. * Basic knowledge of agronomy practices, crop management, and equipment operation. * Functional Competencies* * Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor. * High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels. * Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner. * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates. * High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information. * Core Competencies* Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. * Other Requirements* * Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. * Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered normal. * Physical Demands* * Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required for loading and unloading. * The role involves physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy products. * Lifting/Carrying* * Frequency* * Pushing/Pulling* * Frequency* Under 10 lbs.
