NOW HIRING: Wire Technician
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Wire Technician to join our team in the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring the power systems and assembling electrical components. You will need to read schematics and engineering drawings for assembly and use various hand and power tools, including power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures.
Shift:
6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday; with optional Saturdays as well)
Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble industrial power systems.
Wire power systems and assemble electrical components.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematic drawings for assembly.
Use hand and power tools including power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures.
Stand for the entire shift in a non-climate controlled environment.
Stand on ladders for assembly as units can reach up to 8 feet in height.
Essential Skills:
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematic drawings.
Proficiency in wiring electrical components.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure.
High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Experience in construction, handyman work, HVAC, automotive, or similar industries.
Experience with wiring, soldering, electrical assembly, maintenance, or installation.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering pay raises, profit sharing, benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401k upon conversion to a permanent employee. Profit sharing bonuses are paid out quarterly and usually equal about $1 extra per hour. Benefits are fully paid for by the employer and are provided immediately upon permanent hire. The company is moving to a new building in March 2022, which will increase the workforce by almost 30%, providing opportunities for advancement as team leads and cross-training in new departments. Employees can learn new skills such as wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, electrical testing, paint line, and more.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is not climate controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans keep the air moving. Safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required. The shift is from 6:00am to 2:30pm (Monday to Friday) and optional 6:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00
