Robert Half Systems Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida
Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract to hire employment opportunity based in Jacksonville, Florida. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in system architecture and mentoring junior team members. This position involves working across multiple interconnected systems in a complex setup, with a strong focus on Network, LAN/WAN, and Server Infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
• Assume responsibility for the architecture and mentoring of two junior team members.
• Engage in effective communication and problem-solving activities.
• Utilize skills in Azure, Intune, Cisco, and other related technologies.
• Work across multiple interconnected systems in a complex setup.
• Manage Network, LAN/WAN, and Server Infrastructure.
• Lead and troubleshoot production outages during Emergency/Incident response.
• Program and/or script languages, such as Python, bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Administer Office 365, SQL Server, IIS Web Server.
• Work with VMWare, Citrix environments.
• Manage Cloud operations.
• Apply high critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions consistent with business objectives and strategy.
• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Database, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Azure Storage, Microsoft Azure, Intune, MS Office 365. Requirements • Proven experience in a Systems Engineer role with a minimum of 7 years
• Proficient in Cisco Technologies and Citrix Technologies
• Strong understanding of Database systems
• Experience with Active Directory and Backup Technologies
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management
• Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure Storage
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Intune, and MS Office 365
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field desirable
• Relevant certifications in systems engineering or related fields would be advantageous. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
