This role will offer a unique opportunity to make an impact within our finance department while supporting overall business objectives. The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, handling advanced accounting tasks, and supporting the month-end close process. This role will also involve collaborating across departments, working on various accounting projects, and providing insights to improve processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards.

salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and subsidiary ledgers.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare, analyze, and review journal entries to ensure proper accounting treatment.
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking and depreciation.
Support external audits, preparing documentation and resolving inquiries.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Assist with compliance-related activities, including tax filings and reporting.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and accounting standards.
