Hyatt Sales Manager-Group Large Market Remote (In Market) Mid-Atlantic/DC in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is seeking to add a proven Sales leader to its existing sales force. The ideal candidate is a top producer in their current hotel sales role, is highly motivated by uncapped quarterly bonus potential, and has deep seeded relationships with existing clientele base in the DC Market & Mid-Atlantic Region, that they can leverage toward generating new Corporate, Association, and Government in-house meetings booked at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate their skillsets in new business development success, prospecting initiatives, and utilization of key industry tools, such as Knowland.

The role will be tasked with booking mid to large sized Corporate, Association, and Government meetings, with peak night thresholds of 126 – 951 peak room nights contracted.

This role is remote for an ideal candidate that is based and resides in the Mid-Atlantic/DC/Virginia Region, and will be a part of the Global Hyatt Hotels Managed portfolio. Applicants that are outside of this geographic area, that have proven history in this market, will also be considered and are welcomed to apply. Travel expectations for this position will be to the property monthly, inclusive but not limited to site visits and client events, industry travel, and as needed for the market demands.

The candidate will be well positioned to sell a legacy Group focused hotel in the highly sought after in the Jacksonville location, offering clients access to 951 guestrooms, and over 116,000 sq/ft of newly renovated meeting and convention space. The position offered will be a strictly selling role, with heavy emphasis on proactive business development from the Corporate, Association, and Government Market group segment and converting business from an existing and robust business pipeline.

The Mid-Atlantic Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of selling hotels. Responsibilities focus on strategizing the unique deployment of this market to include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, preparing road maps and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.

The Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and events staff and in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue for our hotel by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, establishing and maintaining relationships with key clients and traveling as needed to key markets to build opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • ·A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel Large Market Sales required·A minimum of 3 year of Sales experience in the Mid-Atlantic/DC US region required·Hyatt experience preferred if residing outside of the Mid-Atlantic/DC region·A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment·Ability to work independently as part of a team·Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth·Refined verbal and written communication skills·Must be proficient in general computer knowledge·Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training·Excellent selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills
