Aerotek Lead Welder in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Posting: Lead Welder
Location: Jacksonville Westside
Pay: $20-22 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Lead Welder with experience in training individuals and in a lead or supervisory role. The primary responsibility will be the construction of Safe rooms, involving both MIG and some TIG welding.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct wall panels, weld, install drywall, paint, etc.
Use hand and power tools to measure and cut various materials.
Spend approximately 50% of the time welding and the other 50% on other shop tasks, initially focusing on panel building.
Work in teams of 4-6 to construct Safe rooms.
Read and work off drawings (training provided).
Accurately read a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch.
Skills Required:
MIG welding
Assembly
Proficiency with hand tools
Accurate tape measure reading
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch.
Pass a MIG weld test.
Experience in construction, assembly, fabrication, or a shop setting.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of using chop saws, bandsaws, and shears is a plus.
Comfort with reading tape measures and squares, and cutting products to size.
Tools Provided: All necessary tools will be supplied.
