Responsibilities

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an incremental Interventional Radiologist to join our practice.

The Interventional Radiology (IR) division at Mayo Clinic Florida supports the needs of a destination medical center, offering high level care with a strong presence in interventional oncology and transplantation. There are approximately 8,000 minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures provided per year by 8 board certified interventional radiologists in a modern facility with 4 single plane interventional suites and 1 CT/Angio Hybrid room. The practice covers the full spectrum outpatient and inpatient clinical needs. A large hospital expansion will be completed over the next several years which will include additional IR procedural suites. The department of radiology is supported by 10 advanced practice providers (APRNs and PAs), who work closely with the interventional radiologists.

A well-established outpatient clinic supports a thriving consultation practice, which has allowed for additional IR subspecialization with the growth of the division. The interventional oncology practice is involved in multidisciplinary “tumor boards” and offers a full spectrum of trans arterial and ablative therapies. The division has also seen growth in chronic venous disease management and is building an MR procedural practice. Interventional radiologists are responsible for interpretation of diagnostic vascular imaging studies, including CT and MR angiography.

Mayo Clinic’s mission of patient care, education and research fully supports the integrated IR residency, independent IR residency and early subspecialization in IR (ESIR). Candidates for this position are expected to participate in the educational and research activities of the interventional and diagnostic residency programs.
