Aerotek Facilities Technician in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Seasonal Decoration Removal Specialist

Shift: 6:30 am-2:30 pm Mon-Fri (OT opportunity Saturday/Sunday)

Pay: $22/hr

Location: Southside, Jacksonville.

Position Duration: One week (with possible opportunity to be brought on full time as facilities maintenance technician)

Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Seasonal Decoration Removal Specialist to join our team (12/31/24-12/7/25). The successful candidate will be responsible for taking down Christmas decorations, handling heavy items, and performing general maintenance tasks to ensure a smooth transition from the holiday season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking Down Christmas Décor: Carefully remove all holiday decorations from various locations.

  • Carrying Heavy Items: Lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Using Hand and Power Tools: Utilize tools to unstrap, unscrew, and unfasten Christmas decorations.

  • Installing Other Décor: Use tools to install other types of decorations as needed.

  • Painting and General Groundskeeping: Perform painting tasks and maintain the grounds to ensure a tidy and appealing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds).

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

  • Attention to detail and a careful approach to handling decorations.

  • Basic painting skills and experience in groundskeeping.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves both indoor and outdoor work.

  • Must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders.

  • Exposure to various weather conditions may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
