Actalent Environmental Scientist in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Description:
Our client is currently looking for an Environmental Scientist with experience with soil/water sampling to help support their team, and support FDEP Petroleum Program.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years experience as a Environmental Technician OR 1+ years of experience with a degree
FDEP Petroleum Program experience highly preferred
Have to be able to travel around Jacksonville area - sometimes can go to Gainesville, Tallahassee, GA etc. Overnights rare.
HAZWOPER required
OSHA 40 required
Ability to learn very fast and work long hours on the field
Enthusiastic and ready to learn
Nice to have:
Experience with remedial systems
Field implementation
Duties:
Soil sampling
Ground water monitoring
Well installation
Collecting samples
Subcontractor oversight
Work Environment:
100% field work
Mostly gas stations
Selling Points:
Provided company vehicle - flexible on taking home and back to office, can change due to travel they are doing.
Gas card provided. Toll card provided.
Potential to grow into Scientist II
