We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming PLCs, designing HMI screens, and providing on-site support during equipment start-ups.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical prints.
Program PLCs using ladder logic.
Travel to equipment installation sites for start-ups and provide on-site support.
Interface with customers during start-ups to ensure smooth operation and address any issues.
Troubleshoot electrical and programming issues effectively.
Design and program HMI screens for various manufacturers.
Essential Skills
Experience in designing and programming wastewater pump stations.
Proficiency in programming PLCs using structured text.
Certification or experience with Siemens PLCs.
Certification or experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Ability to develop PLC programs from scratch based on system requirements.
High attention to detail in reading electrical prints.
Experience and proficiency in programming PLCs using ladder logic.
Willingness to travel for equipment start-ups.
Strong customer interfacing skills during start-ups.
Excellent electrical and programming troubleshooting skills.
Ability to design and program HMI screens.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Availability to work on-site at the office when not traveling.
Work Environment
You will work in a traditional office environment with your own space to stay focused. You will also need to work cross-functionally with other teams, so occasional movement around the office and manufacturing areas will be required. We offer a flexible working environment with opportunities for hybrid work in the future. There is a maximum of 10-15% travel to client sites, and plenty of opportunities for professional growth as the company continues to expand.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00
