Job Title: Automotive Vehicle Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking skilled Automotive Vehicle Technicians to join our team. Initially, we are looking to hire two technicians, with plans to expand to four within the first quarter. Successful candidates will undergo training and eventually move into their own independent bays.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Electrical Work (80%):

• Install emergency vehicle lighting, including running wires to the ground and controllers.

• Disassemble and reassemble headlights, taillights, and interior body components.

• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

• Work with 12V systems, including breakers, circuits, fuses, plastic clips, and wire routing.

• Mechanical Work (20%):

• Install cages, partitions, and push bumpers on fire trucks.

• Work on JEA trucks, including installing furniture partitions and running electronic lights and wiring.

Requirements:

• Experience:

• Extensive experience with 12V electrical systems.

• Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.

• Strong history in automotive electrical work, particularly with emergency vehicle lighting.

• Skills:

• Creativity and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently after training.

• Attention to detail and precision in work.

Shift and Compensation:

• Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM (subject to change).

• Overtime: 5-10 hours of overtime expected.

• Pay: $20 per hour plus commission.
