SUMMARY:  This person will perform preventative maintenance & repairs on production and facility related equipment, while maintaining a clean & safe work environment. This position is 2nd Shift. Hours are 3:30p - 2:00a Monday-Thursday. Overtime could be scheduled on Friday or Saturday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Promote safe work practices by following company safety policies.

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks & repairs on equipment and facilities

  • Identify potential issues that may lead to equipment downtime and suggest ways to prevent future breakdowns.

  • Order repair parts for maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.

  • Identify critical parts and make recommendations on additional spare parts inventory.

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians as needed.

  • Maintain a clean work area and promote company 5S policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a two-year vocational maintenance training program or apprenticeship program emphasizing industrial maintenance are required.  The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas;

  • Must have 5+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role, with strong mechanical & electrical skills.  

  • Must have a working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Able to identify problems and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, drawings, and service manuals.

  • Must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to meet attendance standards.  All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week.  Sometimes, it may be necessary to work additional hours to accomplish the required tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Highly motivated and well-organized.

  • Maintain high personal standards of quality.

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with management and direct reports. Should have the ability to recognize communication gaps and appropriately address them.

  • Excellent problem-solving and team motivational skills are a must.

  • Must be flexible, adapt to work environment changes, and manage competing demands. Flexible hours may be required when necessary to reach company goals.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with a large variety of individuals, including production personnel, maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management and outside contractors
