Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team focuses on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are looking for hands-on engineering leaders with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience.

This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud centric applications from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. An engineer at any level can have significant technical and business impact here. Responsibilities

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a software development manager delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide web applications with a team of at least 5 direct reports

• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering scalable and highly-available applications

• Minimum 5 years of experience and hands-on knowledge of Java, XML

• Minimum 5 years of experience and hands-on knowledge of Web Applications, JavaScript, HTML, Web-Services, RESTful APIs, JSON

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing apps for cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure)

• Minimum 5 years of experience deploying on app servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, or TomEE

• Minimum 5 years experience managing applications using database technologies like OracleDB, MySQL, ORM, TopLink/EclipseLink or Hibernate

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Docker and Kubernetes

• Demonstrated understanding of devops practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Demonstrated understanding of architectural concerns like high-availability, scalability, reliability, and disaster recovery.

• Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint

• Experience working on Windows and Linux OSs

• Experience leading Agile software development methodologies and life cycles

• Highly-motivated, high energy individual with a strong commitment to quality

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal directionDesired Skills:

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud

• Insurance Industry related experience is a plus

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $84,700 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
