About the Job-Supply Chain Transportation Intern Dawn's Inspire Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of the Global Bakery Industry. With over 100 years of expertise, Dawn provides a platform for interns to experience our vibrant company culture, embrace our core values, and gain valuable knowledge for their future careers.

This is a remote opportunity. Internship with the Outside Transportation Team is Full Time, Mon-Fri 8-5 EST. Travel will be required during the initial week (5/20) and the concluding week (8/5) of the internship. There may also be a possibility of additional weeks being added during the internship's duration.

Dawn Inspire Internship Program interns will benefit from: Exposure to various aspects of the business, including operations, marketing, finance, and more. Opportunities to develop new skills and gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects and assignments. Mentorship and Networking opportunities with professionals in the industry. Gain experience working with a best-in-class Transportation Management System, E2Open. Opportunity to lead Carrier Partner review meetings. Utilize KPI reports to take action on Dawn Foods shipments.

What Does It Take to be an Intern at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications for the Dawn Inspire Internship Program. Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business and have completed their Sophomore year, with a particular interest in Transportation. Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards. Strong interest in the transportation or supply chain. Intermediate knowledge MS Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges. Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

What You'll Do as an Intern Conduct research on assigned topics and present findings to the team. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts. Shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest. Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals. Take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas. Identified projects that you will be responsible for: Daily tracking / tracing Dawn shipments using E2Open. Learn the life cycle of a shipment. Support carrier pricing & routing guide changes in TMS. Prepare scorecard decks for carrier performance reviews. Participate in and lead certain scorecard review meetings. Tendering & load management. NMFC project work. SOP project work.
