eCornell Online Course Facilitator - Commercial Real Estate / Hospitality Procurement Specialist (Remote)

eCornell delivers online professional certificate programs to individuals and organizations around the world. Certificates are designed and developed as a collaborative effort between Cornell University faculty and eCornell's professional instructional design and development teams.eCornell offers more than 160 Certificates in a wide range of topics, including leadership and management, data science, engineering, marketing, technology, human resources, healthcare, hospitality and more. New programs are being launched constantly. Short courses (most are 2-weeks) with small cohorts are designed to be interactive, and to help learners gain skills they can immediately apply in their organizations. eCornell is looking to hire facilitators to support our growing Commercial Real Estate and Hospitality Programs. As a credible expert with applied experience in the associated fields, the eCornell Course Facilitator plays a key role in delivering the value of the eCornell courses. Hospitality Procurement Required Qualifications

Do you have the expertise and a passion for hospitality asset/procurement management? We are seeking additional hospitality-sector course facilitators with expertise in:

  • Asset management
  • Hotel Franchise / Brand management
  • Valuation and advisory service experience
  • Forecasting / pro forma / budget and Availability Controls
  • Appraisals / feasibility reports: regional experience
  • Acquisition / Merger in hotel / commercial real estate sector
  • Purchasing and supply chain is a plus
  • On-line teaching / learning experience is a plus (eCornell Courses)
  • Graduate degree relevant to business, Economics, and/or finance a regionally accredited institution (or non-US equivalent).
  • Strong Real Estate business and Asset management background over 10 years.
  • Holding professional certificates is a plus
  • Executive management experience over 5 years
  • Masters in business / hospitality / economics and /or relevant experience over 10 years.
  • Comfortable using technology effectively for learning, communication, instruction, and/or coaching.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Commercial Real Estate Required Qualifications

Do you have the expertise and a passion for commercial real estate / development / and delivering return on investments? We are seeking additional commercial real estate course facilitators in:

  • Valuation / development of commercial buildings
  • Pro forma / forecast / site selection / project management
  • Appraisals / feasibility reports: regional experience
  • Acquisition / Merger in hotel / commercial real estate sector
  • On-line teaching / learning experience is a plus (eCornell Courses)
  • Graduate degree relevant to business, Economics, and/or finance a regionally accredited institution (or non-US equivalent).
  • Strong Real Estate business and Asset management background over 10 years.
  • Holding professional certificates is a plus

Hired eCornell Course Facilitators will:

  • Become Cornell University part-time casual employees, with flexible course facilitation assignments throughout the year.
  • Be provided with extensive onboarding support prior to being assigned courses.
  • Upon successful completion of onboarding, have the opportunity to facilitate 2-4 course sections/month.
  • Share your applied experience in the field with working adults from around the world.
  • Encourage sharing of reflection and information by students using online platforms.
  • Assess and provide relevant feedback for students on assignments.
  • Collaborate with appropriate eCornell staff to contribute to continuous improvement and student engagement as needed.

Additionally, preferred qualifications include:

  • Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentorship experience in related disciplines.
  • Online instructional experience.

  • There is no VISA sponsorship or relocation assistance available for these positions.
  • These positions are remote, which means you can be located anywhere within the U.S.
  • The eCornell Course Facilitators are casual, non-benefits eligible positions.
  • The positions are exempt positions and are thus not available as an additional appointment for current Cornell University non-exempt employees.
