If you are committed to serving people, love to drive, and you are looking to make a meaningful career move, this is the position for you. <P>All new TCAT Bus Operators undergo a comprehensive training program consisting of time spent in the classroom and on-the-road. Upon successfully obtaining your Commercial Driver's License you will spend time in service training familiarizing yourself with routes and solidifying your driving techniques with our team of Driver Trainers. Our program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in your new role. <P>As a Bus Operator you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation to TCAT passengers while delivering exceptional customer service. Driving a transit bus on a variety of routes throughout Tompkins County, you will play a pivotal role in connecting people to education, healthcare, employment and popular area destinations. Your day will include checking in with dispatch, performing vehicle inspections, navigating your route, monitoring fare box collection, and providing information and assistance to the public. Every day on the road gives you the chance to develop and refine your skills, making for a challenging yet highly rewarding experience. <P>Full and Part Time Positions Available! <P>Pay: $25.66/hour + $1.00 per hour nightshift differential <P>Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service. A commitment to safety, strong communication skills, the ability to read and follow written instructions, the ability to work with a team and independently, and strong judgement skills are a must.
