Burford Plumbing and Heating HVAC Lead Technician in Ithaca, Michigan

We stive to be a positive and encouraging environment and are looking for a loyal, long-term, experienced lead HVAC service/project technician who is hardworking, skilled, and enjoys challenges. We work in a fast-paced environment for both commercial and residential customers within the Central Michigan area. Our focus is on plumbing, boiler and HVAC needs. In addition, we have an on-call rotation that most service techs are required to participate in.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years HVAC experience required with supervisory capacity a plus.
  • Ability to repair, install, inspect, diagnose and maintain all parts of HVAC systems required .Experience in both residential and commercial/industrial settings required Plumbing knowledge a plus.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting of Hi & Low Volt systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well organized with attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Clean driving record required Strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, install, inspect, diagnose, preventative care, modifications, maintenance and repairs according to all federal, state and local codes to any job your team is assigned.
  • Hire, coordinate, assign, monitor and train among HVAC team and other trades, departments, project managers or outside contractors.
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to order and monitor supplies/equipment/material to keep projects moving to completion.
  • Schedule, invoice and maintain records of work performed on all job.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work site and company vehicle.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive for your team.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned but not listed in this documentation.
