Description
A growing small business is looking for a Squarespace/UI Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the user interface and user experience of the Squarespace website. The role involves conducting a thorough audit of the existing site, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing suggested changes. The next phase would be to add new pages, maintaining the existing look and feel of the site. This could be an ongoing part time opportunity as the client needs additional support.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a thorough audit of the existing website to identify areas that need updating or fixing.
• Provide detailed suggestions for site improvements, along with estimated timelines.
• Implement the approved suggestions to enhance the website's user interface and user experience.
• Ensure the website design is responsive and aligns with current UX/UI trends.
• Use Squarespace, HTML, and CSS to execute design changes and updates.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach throughout the process.
• Regularly monitor the website to identify and fix issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the SEO/Google expert to ensure proper tagging is done so that Google lead flow is effective.
• Add additional pages, maintaining the same brand aesthetic, customer experience, and lead flow.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Squarespace Designer or similar role
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A responsible self-starter with timely delivery
• Strong knowledge in UX/UI Design principles
• Ability to use HTML5 in design implementation
• Familiarity with CSS for styling and layout of web pages
• Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• A degree in Design, Computer Science, or a relevant field would be advantageous
