Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.
Job Duties: Define the testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced software functionality implemented by teams. Decompose functional and nonfunctional software requirements into test scripts and scenarios. Determine software test dependencies including QA test environment, QA tools, training, build and deployment plans, intra-team dependencies, and communication processes. Create and execute manual and automated test scripts to validate the acceptance criteria defined within the epics and user stories implemented by team members. Develop manual test cases for all functional and non-functional software requirements and identify candidates for test case automation. Create and execute smoke, functional, integration, and non-functional test scripts as part of the software product/application delivery lifecycle. Manage the remediation of software defects raised throughout the development lifecycle and create supporting quality reports. Develop and execute automated test scripts to accelerate team velocity through the reduction of manual testing efforts. Incorporate new automated test scripts into the continuous integration pipeline. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirement: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. One year of experience in: Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test automation frameworks for web UI, Mobile and web service; Creating test strategies, including test scenarios, test objectives, quality criteria and measurement techniques; Analyzing test results and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis; Java; and Agile scrum.
In lieu of Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus one year of experience in: Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test automation frameworks for web UI, Mobile and web service; Creating test strategies, including test scenarios, test objectives, quality criteria and measurement techniques; Analyzing test results and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis; Java; and Agile scrum, employer accepts three years of experience in: Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test automation frameworks for web UI, Mobile and web service; Creating test strategies, including test scenarios, test objectives, quality criteria and measurement techniques; Analyzing test results and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis; Java; and Agile scrum.
