Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Isle of Wight, Virginia, 23397, United States. This role involves managing a variety of account reconciliations and requires proficiency in accounting software SAP and general ledger operations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle multiple account reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities promptly.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and financial guidelines.

• Assist in financial audits by providing required information and documentation.

• Use SAP software for various accounting tasks and reporting.

• Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial processes and procedures. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close process

• Proficiency in using SAP software

• Strong comprehension of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors

• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload

• Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
