The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing Part-time Cook Temporary in Island Park, New York
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at South Point is currently seeking a Temporary Part-time Cook with weekend availability!
[4 day work week includes weekends]
Duties Include :
Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served.
Monitors and records temperatures of refrigerators and freezers.
Provide general information on diet utilizing approved materials and resources.
Baking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.
Serves meals to residents, including the set up and break down of food service equipment.
General cleaning up of kitchen.
Hand washing and sanitizing of pot and pans.
Related work as required.
Requirements Include:
Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
Will manage Kitchen in absence of food service director.
Reliable Transportation.
Necessary Skills/Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep.
Must be able to do some physical work.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Should be a strong team player.
Excellent customer service & communication skills.
