IHG Cluster Director of Marketing (Based in Tokyo Office / Okinawa Properties) / ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort / クラスターマーケティング部長(東京勤務/沖縄担当) / ANAインターコンチネンタル石垣リゾート in Ishigaki-shi, Japan

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Create the annual revenue plan, marketing budget, and forecasts.

•Develop a marketing execution plan to ensure the revenue plan’s targets are achieved.

•Plan and execute a resort-specific marketing strategy that leverages the characteristics of Ishigaki Island and Manza Beach.

•Plan and implement digital marketing initiatives (such as social media, influencer marketing, and digital advertising).

•Analyze marketing data, measure ROI, and conduct customer segmentation.

•Plan and implement environmentally conscious, sustainable marketing initiatives.

•Devise cross-selling and upselling strategies for services other than accommodations (restaurants, activities, spa, etc.).

•Develop and implement a crisis communication plan.

•Provide expert advice and support to the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing.

•Take various measures to maintain and increase sales, including advertising, sales promotions, publicity, photo shoots, community activities, special promotional projects, and events.

•Enhance the hotel’s image within the local community.

•Actively participate in organizations, associations, and other industry groups as a member of the community.

•Regularly review marketing activity reports to ensure that KPIs are being met.

•Regularly review visually impactful domestic advertising articles to ensure they meet the brand’s established standards.

•Work with the leisure and food & beverage departments to plan and promote special projects and events to boost leisure and F&B sales within the local community.

•Build relationships with external stakeholders such as government officials, media, promoters, event planners, advertising agencies, competitors, and other local community members (not limited to these).

•Conduct market research to identify potential markets.

•Maintain good relationships with regional marketing personnel and execute corporate initiatives.

•Collaborate with the HR department to develop a human resources plan.

•Develop and manage the department budget.

•Perform other tasks assigned by the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing.

•Provide operational support on-site as needed, based on occupancy.

•Study guest survey responses.

•Review government statistics on urban audiences.

•Analyze competitors' promotional activities.

•Research various reference materials and industry publications to drive sales.

•Examine the results of past advertising campaigns and, after consulting with other department heads and advertising agencies, propose the most effective advertising methods to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

•Regularly review PR activities to ensure the hotel maintains high visibility in local and national media.

•Plan and manage new products and services.

•Conduct market research.

•Collaborate with IHGANA corporate office, overseas offices, and brand teams.

•Maintain good relationships with regional marketing personnel and execute corporate initiatives.

•Collaborate with the HR department to develop a human resources plan.

•Develop and manage the department budget.

•Perform other tasks assigned by the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing.

•Provide operational support on-site as needed, based on occupancy.

Required Skills

Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

Demonstrated knowledge of effective marketing and communication concepts, and selling strategies, and ability to determine which concepts to apply in given market conditions.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

Good writing skills

Experience

4 years of relevant experience or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Previous Marketing Communication & PR experience is preferred.
