Citigroup Global Head of Production Operations, CTI Enterprise Services in Irving, Texas

This global role is accountable for leading the Citi's Technology Production Operations organization. The Global Head of Production Operations manages multiple teams of senior professionals through other senior managers. The job requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories, and practices relevant to Production Operations as well as practical delivery across technology. Excellent communication skills required to influence a wide range of audiences, from the most senior leaders to the technology front line. Develops medium- to long-term plans and executes Production Operations strategies across Operations and Technology, with applicability to the country clusters and in compliance with regulators across the firm. Provides input into strategic decisions affecting Technology. Full management responsibility of multiple teams, including management of people, budget, strategic roadmaps, and planning. Has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on company revenues, capital, or technology operations. The role currently consists of first touch resolution and operational support of network, mainframe, and infrastructure application support responsibilities and is additionally accountable for Citi's Incident, Problem, and Change Management Standards, practices, and day to day operations for the firm, including governance and compliance for these processes. This role provides the thought leadership for the continued maturity of these practices and operations for the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure managed areas are defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals

  • Engage and support a wide range of diverse activities that require strategic vision and analyses

  • Apply a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple functional areas and their underlying business principles

  • Understand how own function integrates within the overall organization to contribute to achieving business objectives; requires a good working knowledge of the industry

  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources

  • Impact the function by exercising control over sizable resources / budget, policy formulation and planning; has significant influence over future strategy

  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); communicate with external parties

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices; and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others to create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

  • Lead a large team of practitioners with industry best practices, looking to continuously improve execution to exceed client expectations

  • Responsible for facilitating the delivery of communications of IT-related outage/emergency activities to the enterprise leaders and regulators

  • Accountable for Citi IT Operations' collaboration with various internal audit, compliance and governance teams

  • Represent Citi IT Operations performance at monthly and quarterly regulatory reviews

  • Ensure optimal people processes and procedures are in place to deliver operations

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management

  • Budget management, Risk & Control management, influencing skills

  • Managerial Experience

  • Active industry relationships with Service Management organizations and leaders

  • Thought leader and creative thinker

  • Overall good human that works well with others

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University Degree, Master’s degree preferred

$250,000.00 - $500,000.00
