Job duties.
Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
Monitoring market trends and competition to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
Overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting, and expense management to optimize profitability.
Analyzing financial reports and performance metrics to make informed decisions and adjustments as needed.
Ensuring adequate stock levels of South Asian grocery items to meet customer demand.
Monitoring inventory turnover rates and implementing strategies to minimize waste and maximize inventory efficiency.
Establishing and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
Coordinating the procurement of products, including sourcing new suppliers and managing supplier contracts.
Recruiting, hiring, and training store staff, including cashiers, stock clerks, and department managers.
Providing ongoing coaching and development to foster a high-performing and motivated team.
Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
Addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Overseeing the layout and presentation of merchandise to optimize sales and enhance the shopping experience.
Implementing promotional displays and signage to drive sales and highlight featured products.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and health and safety standards.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation for regulatory reporting and inspections.
Developing and executing marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Planning and coordinating promotional events, advertising campaigns, and loyalty programs.
Fostering positive relationships with the local community through involvement in community events and sponsorships.
Participating in outreach efforts to engage with diverse customer demographics.
Analyzing sales data, customer feedback, and operational metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
Preparing regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate progress and challenges.
Overseeing all aspects of day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, security, and cleanliness.
Handling any unforeseen issues or emergencies that may arise in the store. Supervising approximately 30-35 employees including 9 stockers (produce, dry, frozen cleaning), 15 - cashiers, 3 Customer service representatives, 1 floor supervisor, 1 trainer, 1 shift in charge, 2 managers and 1 purchase associate.

Analyzing sales data, profitability reports, and expense budgets to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Providing recommendations for product assortment and pricing strategies.
Minimum requirements

Experience:
3 years experience in the position offered or a related position.
