Citigroup Digital Technical Program Sr Lead Analyst - C14 in Irving, Texas

The Digital Tech Program Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing the lifecycle for a complex cross functional body of work that has a long term positive impact on the company.

  • Able to define and organize the program, outline tenets, analyze data, drive performance improvements, and influence resource allocation for all stages of execution.

  • Work across scrum teams and across organizations. May be assigned to deliver the multi-year roadmap for a CEO’s book of business.

  • May plan the associated technology roadmap for Global Digital and influence dependent organization’s roadmaps by contributing to their planning documents and goal setting exercises.

  • May focus on a single product, focus in a key technology area or focus more broadly, managing larger initiatives that span organizations and geographies in support of a larger cross-cutting business goal.

  • May be accountable for the delivery of an organizational goal.

  • Influence teams to decouple from dependencies and eliminate architectural problems.

  • Drive and influence transformational change in the evolution of our end to end product delivery using agile development methodology.

  • Look forward 1-3 years to drive architectural and organizational changes that enable your programs and products to be successful in the long term without your participation.

  • Drive clarity and work with complete independence as business and/or technical strategy is not defined.

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the business domain, the systems, and the products in your space; understand their accountabilities, boundaries, limitations, scale factors.

  • Understand the reasons behind architectural decisions while providing a long-term perspective for business and technology choices.

  • Use technical judgment to challenge proposals and validate assumptions and enlist Sr. engineering support to vet architecture as required.

  • Accountable for the overall strategy and for driving the teams inside and outside of your organization to deliver the expected results. Drive mindful discussion with business and technical stakeholders that lead to timely decisions. Collaborate with customers and technology teams to determine what projects move forward in what priority order. Make smart trade-off decisions balancing efforts, delivery timelines, features, and technical constraints. Identify and remove blockers and always find the path forward in challenging situations.

  • Create plans that have a clear path to delivery helping the teams organize for delivery while maximizing resources for the greater good of the Digital organization.

  • Understand technical program management and engineering best practices and apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches

  • Excellent communicator and comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization both in writing and in person. Articulate progress against goals, scorecard metrics, and committed roadmaps.

  • Active participant in the community sharing your Citibank program management knowledge within your organization and more broadly presenting at both internal and external events.

  • Work across organizations looking for ways to align teams, technologies (i.e. the infrastructure used to build/deploy/operate services), and organizations to simple coherent approaches that optimize organizational structures and operating mechanisms. Recognize prior failure patterns and help teams avoid repeating these mistakes.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience including program management and software development experience

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented

  • Experience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud based services

  • Experience in affecting large culture change

  • Experience leading infrastructure programs

  • Skilled at working with third party service providers

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work with seamlessly with remote teams


  • Experience delivering with an agile methodology

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$169,600.00 - $254,400.00
