Citigroup Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Sr. Programmer Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Develop software programs using next gen technologies such as SpringBoot, WOA, Angular, TIBCO, REST, JSON, OAUTH, JWT, OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and other container technologies. Execute and drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion. Influence the way an application is designed and developed by providing subject specific expertise and an advanced level of understanding of application programming principles. Ensure essential procedures are followed and define/develop controls to ensure system reliability and availability. Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems. Streamline and/or eliminate excess process in any area of architecture, build, delivery, production operations environment, or business area where the same efforts (or issues) are repeated year-over-year. Understand maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies that exist in support of your system’s software. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience with Software Design, Architecture and Development in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: Designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, using programming languages including Java, TIBCO, Microservices, XML, JSON, REST, Angular, SQL, and frameworks including Web-Oriented Architecture (WOA) and Spring Boot; Working with cloud platforms, including APIGEE/APIC for API management and OpenShift for container orchestration; Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues in production and development using Spunk, App Dynamics and Aternity tools for better resiliency and stability of application; and Working in Agile/Scrum environments and responsible for user story grooming, sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and delivering incremental delivery updates.
