Active Directory Production Support Engineer

The Citi Identity and Access Management organization is looking for an experienced Active Directory Engineer to join the team. You will report to the Global Active Directory Support Manager and will be part of a core senior technical team, supporting a standardized & compliant environment to better serve our clients’ needs and meet Citi’s risk expectations.

In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day management, support and maintenance of one of the world’s largest enterprise Active Directory implementations supporting more than 400,000 Users. This is a great opportunity to be part of a core support organization and Global Active Directory team who provides the highest level of support in a large enterprise. The role will also provide support for our Hybrid Entra ID implementation which supports M365 and other business applications. The qualified individual will work closely with our engineering partners and provide senior level guidance and support to their global counterparts, with focus on Active Directory, security management, group policies and other Windows/AD related technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage Citi’s Active Directory and Hybrid Entra ID environment, including monitoring and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Azure AD Connect servers.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to champion and deliver next gen products and platforms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, identifying root cause.

  • Resolution of customer incident tickets. Identify, analyze and own the resolution of repeat incidents leading to permanent resolution.

  • Maintain and document internal team processes. Identify opportunities for process improvements and/or define new processes and procedures.

  • Host cross platform and/or cross organization calls with stakeholders to drive project delivery and collaboration when appropriate.

  • Participate in an on-call rota, be responsible for answering calls for outages or major incidents.

  • Partner closely with risk teams to build systemic processes that help maintain Citi’s system desired state and enforce compliance.​

Critical Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate across perceived organizational boundaries and break down silos to achieve global collaboration.

  • Balance tactical and strategic goals into a stable and manageable operational framework.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in supporting multi-domain Active Directory environments.

  • 8+ years’ experience supporting Windows Server OS.

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft AD and Entra ID. Including:

  • LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, Sites and Services, Performance Monitoring

  • Azure AD Connect

  • Conditional Access Policies, Express Routes

  • Azure Subscriptions and Resource groups

  • Experience with AD backup and recovery.

  • SQL Server and/or PowerShell experience would be a plus.

  • Ability to adapt communication styles to effectively communicate with senior management, customers and end-users.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
