About the Job:

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing the design, implementation, optimization and support of our restaurant network platform. In addition to managing the network platform this individual will also lead our reliability services team for our restaurant edge node and restaurant software distribution team. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance network infrastructure with a product management mindset.

S/he will be an innovative, intellectually curious problem solver. This person does not need to have the "correct" answer to everything but, rather, should be able to quickly drive the conversation toward a productive solution by including the right actions and accountability. Having a no barriers mentality is critical.

This role works closely with stakeholders including technology leaders, functional partners, franchisees, vendors and across the Yum ecosystem to deliver the best solutions to the entire system.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Network Platform Management:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive restaurant network strategies to support the organization's business goals.

  • Operate and execute the network infrastructure as a product within the larger enterprise portfolio.

  • Create and maintain a network platform innovation roadmap and consistent reporting metrics.

  • Network Design and Optimization:

  • A good understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and emerging technologies is fundamental.

  • Evaluate and optimize network performance, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Update and maintain the network standards for restaurants across various personas.

  • Software Distribution Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the efficient distribution and deployment of software across our restaurant system.

  • Collaborate with platform teams to ensure alignment and streamline the release process.

  • Infrastructure Panning:

  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and management of the organizations network infrastructure.

  • Implement and maintain scalable and robust solutions for software delivery.

  • Implement and maintain a robust schedule for firmware and OS critical updates across the ecosystem.

  • Security and Compliance:

  • Partner with our cyber security team to develop and enforce network related security policies.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

  • Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 10 FTEs

  • Foster collaboration and innovative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.

  • Effective communication and ability to articulate their approach to solving problems clearly and engage the necessary team members and stakeholders throughout the process.

  • Ability to understand and break down complex issues into manageable components, allowing for a clear understanding of the problem statement and easy identification of next steps.

  • Effectively manage resources and budgets for projects and maintenance functions

  • Vendor Management:

  • Create and manage relationships with all key third-party partners and service providers related to network and software distribution.

  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, agreements, and SLA's to ensure cost effective and high-quality services.

  • Technology Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in both network management and software distribution.

  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to continually enhance efficiency, effectiveness, security, while driving down costs.

Is This You?

  • BA/BS degree, advanced degree, particularly an MBA, is preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in in network and software distribution.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, security best practices, and software deployment strategies.

  • Experience with software distribution tools and technologies.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, develop and direct virtual technology team members in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCIE, ITIL) are a plus.

  • Experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), retail, and/or multiunit chain/franchise environment a plus.

Salary Range: $148,000 to $180,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
