Fortive Corporation Security Operations Engineer and Analyst in Irvine, California

Your Impact:

ASP is currently seeking a Sec Ops engineer and Analyst to provide operational technical direction as well as strategic and tactical support of the CISO and ASP Product and Enterprise Security functions. This person will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and will be instrumental in helping to implement and mature the capabilities of the organization. The role will be focused on product and application security but also provide leadership in Enterprise Security and Security Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise-level policy creation and implementation, threat analysis, incident response, certification adherence, SOC, IR Team, Cyber Threat Intelligence and providing advisory services.

Responsibilities:

Working with internal stakeholders across numerous technical functions.

Operate as an SME for product teams regarding secure development practices and technical matters.

Assist with shared product security assessment roadmap on an annual basis.

Facilitate and manage third party product assurance engagements.

Track and coordinate product security metric state with Corporate.

Participate in documentation and articulation of product risk.

Participation in the preparation of regulatory submission paperwork.

Our Needs:

4+ years of experience in the areas of computer information systems, Security Operations, Cyber Security Analyst and Operations Engineer, Application/Product/Enterprise Security.

Strong decision-making capabilities, with a demonstrable ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate actions.

Thorough, detail-oriented and quality-driven with superb communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant industry training and/or certification preferred.

Able to deliver quality results in a high-energy/high-pressure environment.

Ability to multi-task and handle demands of many projects, issues, and tasks.

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Tools and Capabilities:

Medical Device, DOD experience a plus.

Understanding of modern SDLC practices including Agile, CI/CD methodologies.

Familiar with vulnerability tools such as Rapid7 and Crowdstrike.

Expertise with at least one code analysis platform such as Veracode or Code Sonar.

Strong familiarity with common secure coding practices/standards/forums such as OWASP

Experience with STRIDE based Threat Modelling.

Familiarity with common risk assessment tools such as CVSS.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position is $50,400-$93,600 . Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
