The Phoenix Center Safety and Compliance Manager in Ironton, Ohio

Job Summary: The Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety within the organization.  This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, along with a deep understanding of safety and compliance principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety and risk programs and policies to ensure a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  2. Manage and oversee the cyber security process and contracts
  3. Client Rights-Oversee client grievance processes
  4. Audit vis HER treatment and discharge planning
  5. Internally auditing HER ongoing with monthly quarterly reporting to clinical program director and CEO
  6. Understanding federal and state regulations
  7. Serve as member of growth teams to expand services according to strategy
  8. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards, assess compliance with regulatory requirements , and recommend corrective actions
  9. Lead safety training sessions, orientations, and drills for employees to promote awareness, educate on safety protocols, and enhance safety culture
  10. Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, incident reports, and near0miss incidents to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree , preferred license LPC or LSW required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, regulatory compliance, or related roles, preferably in social service industry
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA,ADA,DOL,etc), environmental compliance requirements, and industry standards
  • Experience developing and implementing safety programs, policies, training materials , and emergency response plans
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and engage employees at all levels
  • Analytical skills to assess risks, analyze data, and make date-driven decisions to improve safety performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, safety management software, and incident reporting systems
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
