Brand Manager

The Brand Manager is an organization-wide leadership program that oversees our marketing department and creates our brand and communications strategy. The Brand Manager will work with the CEO, leadership team, operations teams, and support staff to connect with Co-op members and potential shoppers by developing content that communicates our values, increases brand awareness, and promotes increasing sales.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee New Pioneer's marketing team and delegate tasks and duties as needed.

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that support business growth and success.

  • Work collaboratively to develop successful marketing campaigns to increase sales, brand awareness, and community engagement.

  • Ensure marketing mix is balanced and effective including digital such as Google Ads, social media, website, email., etc., traditional media such as newspaper, radio, print, and earned media.

  • Lead development and execution of New Pi's marketing plan

  • Communicate ongoing brand strategy to the teams.

  • Measure ROI of marketing initiatives and make adjustments based on results.

  • Use creative writing skills for developing ad campaigns, event promotions & engagement with our community.

  • Represent/speak on behalf of the Co-op at public events, on camera and through other media outlets.

  • Organize and lead outreach events, including large in-store events & community events.

    What We're Looking for:

  • A communicative, thoughtful, proactive candidate with excellent people skills.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and brand management.

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team and working collaboratively with other stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing, editing, market engagement, and social media.

  • Demonstrated success with developing, creating, and measuring multi-media marketing campaigns.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Computer literacy and skills applicable to the position and environment.

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with project management & budget development.

  • Experience with Google ads and social media ad campaigns.

  • Experience with SEO & SEM strategies, and data analytics.

    Additional Skills That Are Helpful to this Position:

  • Knowledge and appreciation for natural foods (organic, non-GMO, foods without artificial ingredients)

  • Experience in retail marketing and merchandising.

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite

  • Basic knowledge of APIs

    Working Environment:

The Brand Manager works in an office, retail, and community environment. This may involve frequent and extended periods sitting and standing working at a monitor. The position requires direct and interactive communication with marketing team members, retail and production team members, office hours by phone, email, and regular meetings, as well as frequent community and New Pioneer Cooperative-sponsored off-site functions and activities.

This Brand Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive officer. This is an organization-wide leadership position requiring a committed schedule with flexible availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, and event activities on a regular basis.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a benefits package.
