The Opportunity:
CACI seeking is Software Engineering Manager to support the AFAMS program at the USAFE-AFFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC), Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Kaiserslautern, Germany.
You will support AFAMS which is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage a small team of IT staff in support of the UAWC mission.
Support all permanent party and exercise core services or comparable technology with both Windows and Linux software platforms in accordance with UAWC projects, exercise plans and designs.
Create standard operating procedures, maintenance checklists, monitor all performance and functionality of classified and unclassified networks, and provide accurate elevation drawings.
Engineer, implement and maintain Active Directory (AD) domain infrastructure utilizing Cisco IOS, Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux client/server operating systems.
Leverage industry standard enterprise technologies: Cisco Hyper-converged compute/memory/storage systems, Vmware, Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in support of unique M&S client/server operating environments.
Provide SME level assistance, research and/or recommendations in the acquisition or deployment of new applications/methods/technologies to further success of customer goals.
Provide guidance on AD user, computer, and group creation, including naming conventions and long-term disposition.
Provide technical support to UAWC regarding AD account use violations and other security-related abuses and/or anomalies.
Provide system administration support across multiple enclaves.
Organize mandatory software updates and security patches for deployment using enterprise level utilities, DoD and/or UAWC approved software.
Maintain domain-wide, Windows-based software inventory. Develop queries used to support report of survey inquiries.
Advise SC on the usage and viability of required software licenses, at-risk critical systems, including single points of failure that could negatively affect continuous operations, appropriate levels of spare hardware resources and resulting mission impact if levels are not maintained.
Implement multiple Redundant Array of Independent Disk configurations to ensure high availability of server-based UAWC resources.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly backups of critical servers, system data and shared folders. Centrally manage and protect crucial resources through enterprise level backup and restoration of hardware and software systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret security clearance.
MS/MA degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; if no MA/MS additional work experience may be substituted in leu of degree (Bachelor's Degree plus additional 8 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree; if no degree whatsoever 12 additional years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree, for total of 22 years work experience)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate/Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Server Infrastructure; Security + CE certification (satisfies DoD 8570.1 IAT level 2 or higher certification).
Experience with software engineering principles and programming
Desired:
- Familiarity with Multinational Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility Polygone operations and systems.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$98,500 - 206,800 USD
