Robert Half Plant Controller in Inman, South Carolina
Description
We are providing an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry located in Spartanburg County. This company is private equity owned with good management in place. You would report to the VP of Finance and have three direct reports. The ideal candidate will have three years of Controllership experience in manufacturing. As a Plant Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial processes, providing analytical support for cross-functional projects, and overseeing our division's accounting team.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the division's accounting team
• Guide key financial operations such as inventory control, accounts receivable and payable, and General Ledger management
• Provide analytical insights and crucial decision support for various cross-functional projects
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet
• Prepare financial reports and analysis on a monthly basis
• Develop and maintain financial controls in compliance with our procedures and policies
• Ensure accuracy in creating, reviewing, and approving journal entries
• Lead the annual budget process for the division, identifying potential risks and opportunities
• Act as the primary contact for external audits including financial, insurance, federal and state audits
• Support safety and operating initiatives within the division
• Monitor and collaborate with management to verify savings initiatives.
Requirements • Proven expertise in Month End Close processes
• Demonstrable experience with Asset Inventory management
• Proficiency in Cost Accounting practices
• Ability to conduct Annual Forecasts accurately
• Experience with both Budgeting and Forecasting in a manufacturing setting
• Capacity to develop and maintain Cash Flow Forecasts
• Skill in Cash Forecasting for manufacturing operations
• Strong understanding of Financial Control principles
• Knowledge of General Ledger management
• Experience with Inventory Reconciliation in a manufacturing context
